TiviMate Premium Price 2026: Yearly vs Lifetime, Per Device

Short answer: as of October 2026, TiviMate Premium costs about $9.99 a year in the US, with a one-time lifetime option around $33.99 showing in recent US listings. Either one covers up to five devices on a single account. You buy it inside the official TiviMate Companion app on an Android phone, or in the TiviMate app itself on a Google Play TV device. Nothing else is a real purchase, and Premium never includes a single channel.

The price table, October 2026

TiviMate's developer doesn't publish a price list on a web page, so the number you see comes from the Google Play billing screen in your own country. That's why you'll find several figures online. The ones below are what US listings and recent US price round-ups show; treat them as a guide and trust the figure the Companion app shows you at checkout.

Option US price (as of Oct 2026) Devices Best for
Free version $0 Any Trying it with one playlist
Premium, yearly About $9.99/yr (some listings show up to $11.99) Up to 5 Testing Premium for a season
Premium, lifetime About $33.99 once Up to 5 Anyone keeping TiviMate 4+ years

Two things move the number. First, Google Play sets local prices by country, which is why deal forums in Europe post figures that look absurdly cheap or expensive. Second, the developer has raised prices before. Older posts quoting a $19.99 or $26.99 lifetime are from 2022 and earlier, and they're not coming back.

Sales do happen. Black Friday discounts on the lifetime tier have shown up in past years, inside the app itself. If you're buying in November, it's worth opening the Companion app before you pay to see whether a promotion is running.

Yearly or lifetime: the break-even

This is the only maths that matters, and it's short.

At $9.99 a year and $33.99 once, the lifetime purchase pays for itself in the fourth year. Three years of renewals costs $29.97; four costs $39.96. If yearly runs closer to $11.99 where you are, lifetime breaks even in year three.

You keep TiviMate for Yearly total Lifetime total Cheaper
1 year $9.99 $33.99 Yearly
2 years $19.98 $33.99 Yearly
3 years $29.97 $33.99 Yearly, just
4 years $39.96 $33.99 Lifetime
5 years $49.95 $33.99 Lifetime, by $16

The honest caveat with "lifetime" is that it means the lifetime of the app and your account, not yours. TiviMate is a one-developer product. It has been updated steadily for years, but no small app comes with a guarantee. That's the argument for buying a year first if you're unsure, and switching to lifetime once you know you'll stay.

Our view: if you've already used the free version for a few weeks and like it, the lifetime tier is the better buy. If you're coming in cold, a year is cheap insurance against finding out the app isn't for you.

What it costs per TV

One Premium purchase covers up to five devices signed in to the same TiviMate account. That changes the value picture a lot for multi-TV homes.

Devices on the account Yearly, per device Lifetime, per device
1 $9.99 $33.99
2 $5.00 $17.00
3 $3.33 $11.33
5 $2.00 $6.80

The five slots are for your household's devices. Selling or sharing slots with other households isn't what the licence is for, and it's exactly how people end up with "cheap Premium" that stops working.

A practical tip on slots: count the boxes you'll actually keep. If you replace a streaming stick every couple of years, sign the old one out of Premium before you retire it so the slot is freed. A dead box you forgot to sign out is the usual reason someone hits the five-device limit with only three TVs.

What the money actually buys

Premium is a feature upgrade for the player. The free version already plays a single playlist with a TV guide, so the question is whether you need what sits behind the paywall.

Multiple playlists. Free allows one. Premium lets you add several, such as a licensed provider's playlist alongside your HDHomeRun or Channels DVR feed.

Recording. Scheduled and instant recording to the device's storage, a USB drive or a network folder, where your source allows it.

Catch-up. If your provider offers catch-up (archive) streams, Premium lets you browse back through the guide and play them.

Multi-view and favourites. Several channels on screen at once, plus custom favourite lists, channel reordering and hiding groups you never watch.

Guide control. More control over EPG sources, update intervals and how far back and forward the guide reaches.

What it does not buy: channels, a provider, a guide data subscription, or any content of any kind. If someone offers "TiviMate with channels", that's not TiviMate's product.

How to pay, and only there

There are two legitimate checkouts, and both run through Google Play billing.

On an Android phone or tablet: install TiviMate Companion from Google Play, create an account, and buy yearly or lifetime inside it. Then on the TV, open TiviMate, go to Settings, then Premium, and sign in with the same account. This is the route Fire TV owners need, because Fire TV has no Google Play billing.

On a Google TV or Android TV box: you can also buy directly inside the TiviMate app on the TV, since those devices have Google Play.

The catch for iPhone-only households: there's no iOS Companion app. If you own a Fire TV and nobody in the house has an Android phone or tablet, you'll need to borrow one for the five minutes the purchase takes.

Everything else is a red flag. "Activation codes" sold on marketplaces, Telegram or by a TV provider, "cracked Premium" downloads, and accounts sold with a slot each all fall into the same bucket: they break, they get revoked, and modified app files are a common way to put unwanted software on a box that's signed in to your streaming accounts. None of them is cheaper once it stops working.

Some readers ask about buying through a cheaper foreign Google Play storefront. Changing your Play country is restricted and can leave your other purchases and payment methods in a mess. For a saving of a few dollars it isn't worth it.

Renewals, cancelling and refunds

Yearly renews automatically. It's a Google Play subscription, charged to the payment method on the Google account you used in the Companion app. You'll find it in Google Play under Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions.

Cancelling is done there too. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Premium keeps working until the end of the year you've paid for.

Switching to lifetime is a separate purchase. If you're mid-year, the sensible move is to cancel the subscription first, then buy lifetime, so you aren't billed again at renewal.

Refunds follow Google Play's rules. Google typically handles refund requests made shortly after purchase directly; after that window, it's at the developer's discretion and you'd contact them through the app. Don't count on getting money back months later because you changed providers. That's the main reason we suggest trying the free version properly before paying.

Price changes on renewal are possible. Google Play notifies subscribers before a price increase applies to them, so read any billing email that mentions TiviMate rather than deleting it.

Buy it if, skip it if

Buy Premium if…

  • You want to record, especially from an HDHomeRun or a licensed provider that permits it.
  • You have more than one playlist to merge into one guide.
  • Two or more TVs in the house will run TiviMate; the per-device cost drops to a few dollars.
  • You watch live sport and want multi-view.

Skip it if…

  • You have one playlist, one TV, and mostly flick to a few channels. The free version does that.
  • Your only devices are an iPhone, Apple TV, Roku, Samsung or LG TV, or a Vega OS Fire TV Stick. TiviMate doesn't run on any of them.
  • You don't yet have a legal source to play. Sort that out first; Premium adds nothing without one.

Our pick

For most readers who already like the free version: buy the lifetime tier through the Companion app and use the five slots across your household. It's the cheapest option from year four onward, and it ends the annual renewal decision.

If you're new to TiviMate, pay for one year, give it a full season, then decide. Ten dollars is a fair price for finding out.

And if your devices don't run Android, don't pay for Premium at all. Spend the money on a box that does, which our device guides cover.
