What the MAC address is doing here
A MAC address is the hardware identifier of your TV's network interface — twelve hexadecimal characters, usually shown as a1:b2:c3:d4:e5:f6. Every network device has one.
Smart IPTV uses it instead of usernames and passwords. Your playlist and your activation are both filed against that address, which is why the app needs no login and why everything you do at the portal starts with typing the MAC exactly as the app displays it.

Activation, step by step
- Install the app. On Samsung and LG, from the TV's own app store. On Fire TV and Android boxes, from the relevant store where listed.
- Open it and write down the MAC. It appears on the first screen. Copy it character for character — confusing 0 with O, or 8 with B, is the most common cause of "playlist not found".
- Go to the developer's portal on a phone or computer. The app displays the address on that same screen; use it rather than searching, because imitation sites exist.
- Enter the MAC and your playlist. Paste the M3U URL your provider gave you, or upload the file. You can usually name it and add several.
- Reload the app on the TV. The channel list should appear within a minute.
- Test properly — several channels, at a busy time of day, not just the first one in the list.
- Activate at the developer's activation page, paying the one-off fee for that MAC, before the trial runs out.
If your provider gave you Xtream Codes credentials rather than an M3U link, ask them for the M3U version — most panels generate one. The difference between the two formats.
The seven-day trap
You get seven days free against the same MAC. The catch that costs people their setup: if the trial expires before you activate, the playlists uploaded to that MAC are lost, and you upload them again after paying.
So don't leave it to day seven. Test in the first two or three days, then pay while everything is configured and working.
When the MAC doesn't work
"No playlist found". Nearly always a typo in the MAC, or a playlist uploaded to a different MAC. Check the app's screen again and compare character by character.
Playlist uploaded but the app shows nothing. Reload the app fully — on some TVs, closing and reopening isn't enough; use the app's own reload option or restart the television.
The MAC changed by itself. This happens if you switch between Wi-Fi and Ethernet, because they're different network interfaces with different addresses. Pick one connection method and stay on it — Ethernet if you can. If it changes after a repair, the mainboard was replaced.
Channels load but won't play. That's the provider or the stream, not the activation. Test the same playlist in VLC on a computer to confirm.
Guide missing. The EPG is a separate URL from the playlist; add it at the portal if your provider supplies one.
One MAC per television
Each TV has its own MAC, so each needs its own activation and its own playlist upload. Three televisions means three payments of about €5.49 — still less than one month of most live TV services, and there's no recurring charge.
It also means the licence doesn't move with you. A replacement TV is a new device with a new address, and so is a set whose mainboard has been swapped under warranty.
For three or more sets, it's worth comparing with a streaming stick on each TV running a player whose licence covers several devices at once. Which device suits.
If the app isn't in your TV's store
Availability has changed over the years, and on some Samsung and LG models in some regions the app is no longer listed. If you can't find it, you're not doing anything wrong.
The alternatives accept the same M3U playlist: another TV app that supports playlists, or a cheap streaming stick with a proper player, which also gets you a better guide and recording. Your subscription is unaffected either way — only the player changes.
Where not to pay
Activate only through the developer's own portal, using the address the app shows on screen.
Not through sites selling "activation codes". There are no codes — activation is tied to your MAC at the developer's site.
Not through a channel seller offering to "activate the app for you". The app and the channels are separate products from separate companies. A provider bundling them is either paying the fee on your behalf, or, more often, selling something that isn't the real app.
Not through modified APKs promising the app without the fee. Unsigned software, on a device on your home network, to avoid about €5.50.
